This is a part-time position for a person with a passion for Christ, a call to serve the church, an ability to be a team player, and a priority of equipping others for ministry with a positive attitude. The focus of all responsibilities is the ongoing spiritual formation of all children from birth through the time that they become part of the Youth Group (6th Grade).

- Leading the ministries and volunteers of the Children’s program. This includes Sunday School, Children’s Church, Bible Study, VBS, and other programs supported by the Children’s Team.
- Collaborating with the Children’s Team to schedule, plan, fund, and execute the Children’s ministry programs.
- Selecting program material and/or curriculum for Children’s ministry programs.
- Recruiting and training volunteers. Scheduling volunteers for each of these programs. Identifying and scheduling substitute volunteers, as needed.
- Regularly evaluating current programs, to determine the success and value of current programs and potential need for new programs
- Hands-on leadership on Sunday mornings at Grace UMC ensuring smooth operation of Sunday School, Children’s Church, and Nursery programs.
- Scheduling and supervising the nursery workers as they provide childcare throughout the week for Grace’s congregation. Recruiting new nursery workers, as needed.
- Regularly attending staff meetings with the Senior Pastor and the rest of Grace’s staff. Attending other Grace team meetings as necessary.
- This position comes with two weeks’ paid vacation plus 4 Sundays off each year
