Sales Associate

SUMMARY:

This position is primarily responsible for performing sales and design duties in a retail store environment while providing knowledgeable product information and specifications.

Specific job responsibilities shall be in accordance with the company’s policies and applicable laws while ensuring and maintaining a safe work environment and efficient operations.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Greet or acknowledge all customers at store location, or on phone

· Learn customer’s shopping purposes and needs, assist in design and selection

· Engage customer in sales-oriented conversations, sell to customer, makes product suggestion

· Close sales using knowledge of product and procedures helpful to customer

· Accurately process payment at register; follow all current cash, check, and credit procedures, wrap items, schedule delivery as needed

· Build brand loyal customers through engagement, conversion, and capture of customer email and phone number

· Participate in product and sales training sessions

· Participate in zone coverage, assist with maintenance and stock by cleaning, straightening, requisitioning merchandise, ticketing, restocking, as needed

· Participate in inventory process

· Assist management in identifying and resolving issues

· Strive for excellence in customer service

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

· High School Diploma or GED

· Minimum of 1 year experience in high volume retail setting.

· Retail POS system.

· Sales oriented, versed in effective selling techniques

GENERIC SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Regular attendance and punctuality are required as a full-time employee in order to perform all the essential functions.

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
