Come work with us and continue to shape the future of the Packaging industry. The Packaging segment is one of the most dynamic consultative selling environments in industry today. Successful professionals within the space must be comfortable with adapting to changing inputs on a near daily basis. The Packaging Key Account Manager works within a dedicated Global Packaging team of highly focused sales, engineering, and marketing professionals, and is responsible for forging new relationships with strategic key customers, drive preference and win specification at the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM’s) level in the market. The right candidate will be focused on achieving incremental sales and earnings growth and will work with application engineering, product management, marketing operations, sales operations and other functions to execute initiatives that deliver those results. We are a company that embraces both innovation and continuous improvement. From that base, this role will have the autonomy to improve existing practices as well as define and implement new ideas. This is a field-based sales position with extensive (60% ) travel. Ideal candidates will either be in the Southeast or West, covering either of those territories. Principal Activities/Duties Identify, analyze, and prioritize target key accounts sales opportunities. Develop and execute key account strategies for target accounts. Establishes and maintains a strong working relationship with Strategic levels of target accounts. Negotiates supply agreements and pricing. Quoting standard and modified Graco equipment, as well as managing project related activities upon quotation acceptance. Cooperate with channel reps., inside sales and service processes to support new customers and implement strategies through applicable teams. Identifies and communicates competitive activities and implements winning strategies. Maintain strong working relationships with Regional Sales Managers and transition tactical account management after project closure. Identify, analyze, and prioritize target Material Supplier sales and/or specification opportunities based on market focus. Identify Market Focused Product Development needs to penetrate unnerved Industry needs. Defines market share by segment and geography. Other duties as assigned. Essential Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or related field, , or experience equivalent to education Five years successful sales experience including key account management (multi-national, multi-site customers with complex organizational structure, typically with annual sales in excess of $5 billion) and 3 years successful capital equipment sales experience Demonstrated skills in planning, prioritizing, problem solving and decision-making.
