JOB SUMMARY: As the District Sales Manager (DSM), you will provide leadership, strategic planning, and oversight of all sales activities within assigned districts. Your primary goal is to ensure maximum profitability and growth, aligning with the Company’s vision and goals. You'll collaborate with Territory Managers (TMs) to establish and execute strategic plans to increase sales revenues and acquire new clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for districts and territories.
- Collaborate with TMs to project expected sales volume and profit, ensuring goals are met.
- Spearhead recruitment, motivation, and development of TMs, instilling a culture of accountability and teamwork.
- Monitor, evaluate, and provide feedback to TMs on progress towards goals.
- Coach TMs in balancing productivity, quality, and customer service.
- Participate in staff selection, performance evaluations, and corrective actions.
- Oversee training programs for TMs and participate in major client presentations.
- Increase sales through account penetration, utilizing product knowledge and analytical tools.
- Maintain, build, and expand customer relationships and ensure overall customer satisfaction.
- Work with internal departments to provide vital information necessary for servicing customers.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, or Business.
Experience:
- 3-5 years of sales management experience in the B2B market segment preferred.
- 2-3 years of field sales experience.
- Experience managing a remote sales team preferred.
Professional Skills:
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Strong project management abilities and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software (e.g., Salesforce).
- Ability to prioritize, problem-solve, and make timely decisions.
- Goal-oriented, driven, and able to work independently within a team environment.
Physical Demands:
- Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and use hands and fingers.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
Work Environment:
