JOB SUMMARY:
The Patient Account Representative will be responsible for related revenue cycle management tasks for the purpose of accounts receivable and resolution for patients. Areas of concentration include, facilitating incoming calls from patients/families/insurance companies, as well as attorneys' offices in order to address questions and resolve account concerns. Duties surrounding these calls may also include reviewing charge entry issues, transaction management, potential coding problems, settlement agreements for self-pay patients and payer inquiries. The Patient Account Representative may review claims, handle correspondence, and inevitably provide service excellence to patients, families, and other authorized parties. Representative will serve as a patient advocate during the life cycle of the account.
Core functions are but not limited to: Initiation of the billing process, eligibility & benefits, transaction management, refund analysis, credit balance review, response to patient account inquiries, and self-pay collections.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Associate's Degree or two years college level coursework is required.

Three (3) or more year's job related experience in a hospital or clinic environment patient finance is required.
