Position Details:
As a Branch Network Analyst, you will serve as key reporting and analytics representative for the primary BSOP function: understanding the full business impacts of the team and driving data driven decision making and ensuring day to day functioning of key reports and processes. You will identify opportunities for process improvements and standardization within the BSOP specialty to increase efficiency and effectiveness in the field. The Branch Network Analyst supports BSOP Project/Work Review process, partnering with various functions in the BSOP org to provide valuable analytics and tools to further their objectives. You will actively collaborate with business partners to understand and support their need for data-driven insights, and perform adhoc and routine analysis, providing insightful commentary and status updates to leadership to help drive business decisions.This position impacts the financial and operational results of the Global Supply Chain and Customer Service organizations by providing leaders with relevant information needed to make tactical and strategic decisions.
You Will:
- Leverage new reporting and analytics tools within core responsibilities to drive efficiencies in current and future state reporting and branch processes
- Take responsibility to ensure the quality of data used in projects and integrity of the analysis performed
- Assist in development and interpretation of routine reporting, providing insightful commentary and status updates to help drive business decisions
- Act as front-line contact with project sponsors, team members, and functional departments for BSOP functional area supported
- Collaborate with cross functional teams on various branch-related projects, representing the branch team in stakeholder meetings and providing reporting and analytics to aid in decision making
- Support initiatives to assist in the integration of 4PL and GCAN branch network into core GUS branch network processes
Work Environment:
- Primarily works with Branch Leadersand Senior District Leaders
- Occasional interactions with VPs Branch Network
- Close partnership with Finance, Grainger Technology Group, and various partners in Global Supply Chain
- Limited Travel <10%
You Have:
- Two plus years of demonstrated hands on experience in developing and implementing creative solutions within a complex environment as well experience in an operations role
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders. Must be able to interact cross-functionally and drive both business and technical discussions
- Previous experience working on or with reporting & analytics function, with the ability to both ask the right questions to be answered, and design and execute on the analysis to create true insights
- Must be able to analyze the impact of decisions downstream and upstream on service, productivity and profitability
- Ability to quickly learn and become competent in new processes, technologies and skills
- Familiarity with supply chain, sales, and customer experience fundamentals and KPIs
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel. Familiarity with PowerBI
- Interest in developing skillset in Python or R for statistical modeling, clustering, classification, machine learning, and data mining. As well as PowerApp and PowerAutomate for reporting and process continuous improvement
- BA/BS degree preferred
