Position Details:

The Senior Project Manager, Order to Cash establishes and leads enterprise-wide, strategic projects. This role may lead a variety of different types of projects including launching new products and services, large-scale application development, systems integration, operational efficiency improvements, process reengineering and infrastructure upgrades and deployments. The Senior Project Manager will provide project management support to the Order Capabilities product. Drives process of gathering business needs and prioritized and ensures the Order Capabilities team operates efficiently. Brings a knowledge of GSCCE process and PM skills to the team.

The Senior Project Manager will report to the Program Manager. This is a hybrid role located in Lake Forest, IL.

You Will:

  • Lead a cross-functional group. Build PM plans that encompass people, process and technology components to minimize cycle time, optimize resources and minimize risk. Provides day to day direction, guidance, and oversight to diverse project team according to consistent PM and project delivery lifecycle.
  • Lead planning multiple large workstreams which may be running concurrently. Leverages resources from multiple business areas possessing diverse business and technical skills.
  • Lead and be responsible for the development of project related communication, project status and change management.
  • Accountable for one or more projects that encompass business, IT and operational deliverables.
  • Define feature requirements, future-state business process, and desired user experience. Prioritize features by ranking them against competing criteria and make difficult trade-off decisions based on the value a new feature will deliver to your customers and the business vs. time/effort/cost.
  • Ensure end results are of the highest caliber with an articulated scope and clarity on the desired qualitative and quantifiable business benefit or outcomes.
  • Discerns our needs by employing multiple investigative strategies, resources, and data to identify the opportunity.
  • Structures the operating model of the project/program/initiative in such a way that clear accountabilities are established and delivered upon.
  • Direct the development of deployment strategy and plan that encompasses project communications, training and change management plans and personally assures that appropriate contacts and relationships are developed and maintained.

You Have:

  • BA/BS or equivalent preferred with 3 years of experience in related field.
  • Experience in explaining the business case of a given initiative or feature so the technology team understands why we are building it.
  • Demonstrated, applied expertise organizing and delivering complex projects.
  • Negotiation, influencing and conflict resolution skills.
  • Sound business, technical and analytics knowledge.
  • Core project management expertise in the use of multiple project development life cycle methods and tools, such as Agile/Scrum and Waterfall.
  • Accomplished in and fosters the use of Continuous Improvement (CI) methods and tools.
