Granby Ranch Golf Club and Touchstone Golf are excited to announce an exceptional career opportunity for a General Manager.

Located in Granby, Colorado, Granby Ranch Golf Club is one of the finest public golf courses in Grand County. Open daily to the public from the middle of May until the middle of October, Granby Ranch Golf Club features an 18-hole regulation golf course, two additional practice holes, a Driving Range, and Practice putting and chipping greens. Granby Ranch boasts exceptional views of the Rocky Mountains and sits alongside the Fraser River.

Located two hours from Denver and 20 miles North of Winter Park, playing at 8,100 feet of elevation, the par 72 course features 7,123 yards of golf from the longest tees.

General Manager will have operational responsibility for all aspects of the Club, including oversight of golf operations, membership, food and beverage, accounting, sales and marketing, and golf course maintenance. General Manager will be tasked with operating the facility in compliance and accordance with Touchstone Golf’s expectations, policies, and procedures. In addition, the GM will develop and implement fiscal, operational, and business development plans and strategies and administer operational standards and quality performance guidelines for all operating functions and staff.

Candidate Profile:

· The candidate will have at least five years of experience in a similar or greater capacity management role within a commensurate club(s).

· Excellent communication and organizational skills and the ability to interact well with members, daily fee golfers, and their guests. Ability to build and maintain member relationships. Strong work ethic.

· Qualified candidates have a two or 4-year degree with hospitality, business, or management focus and requisite certification from the CMAA or PGA or America.

· Demonstrated experience in budget development, fiscal management, strategic planning, and staff management.

· Ability to analyze and solve problems; efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision; work flexible hours, including nights/weekends.

· Must be an innovative thinker with the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing service and business environment.

· Possesses strong leadership skills, including recruiting, developing and retaining quality department heads and staff—the ability to identify core competencies in co-workers.

· Skills required include a proficient level of Microsoft Office Word and Excel, point of sale systems, and experience with the point of sale software.

· Highly developed interpersonal communications skills. Demonstrated quality in written and verbal skills, positive attitude, professional manner, and appearance in all situations.

Detailed Duties:

A. Primary Responsibilities

1. Oversight of all activities at the Club on a day-to-day basis.

2. Taking an active role in the Club as the leader of Club operations.

3. Hiring, training, and ongoing support of the department head staff consisting of the course Superintendent. Lead weekly department head meetings.

4. Oversee the hiring and training of all frontline staff members to ensure a superior level of Guest and Member service throughout the facility.

5. With assistance and support from the department head team, create and implement systems to ensure consistent execution of a first-class experience daily

6. Provide appropriate leadership, direction, supervision, and guidance to staff according to Touchstone Golf expectations and company culture to promote positive employee morale and performance quality.

B. Financial Management

1. Direct, coordinate, and monitor the development of the facility’s annual business plan and operating/capital budgets. Monitor and evaluate financial performance relative to budget goals and objectives. Analyze budget variances, and develop and implement action plans to achieve appropriate adjustments.

2. Oversight of ‘back-of-the-house operational responsibilities, including accounting and accounts payable functions, staff scheduling and payroll management, and other administrative duties as required.

Reports to: Touchstone Golf Senior Vice President of Operations

Supervises: Department Head Staff

Salary: Commensurate with experience and consistent with other golf Clubs of similar stature in the Rocky Mountain Region.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
