Window and Door Service Technician

Service Technician is a team member who has, or is learning, a working knowledge of window and door adjustments, parts, and operations. They adjust, repair and/or service windows and doors as recommended by the manufacturer.

Your efforts drive

• Customer satisfaction and retention, profitability of Service department and promotion of excellence for the Grand Openings Team.

You will be expected to

• Perform warranty and non-warranty inspections and adjustments, measure for product fit, and simple installations of parts and glazing units.
• Function as a team player under the direction of the Service Manager and General Manager
• Aid with Delivery and Warehouse team when needed
• Provide excellent communication and follow-through to maximize customer satisfaction and repeat/referral business.

Basic Requirements

• Background with carpentry, mechanics, or window and door service
• Willingness to learn correct installation techniques for windows and doors
• Willingness to troubleshoot, test, repair and service windows and doors
• Proficiency in driving trucks and trailers, basic hand tools, measurements on site, and glazing techniques, as well as maintaining a clean driving record.
• Positive attitude, professional communication, and problem-solving mindset
• Basic use of email
• English literacy

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, hours as set by the Service Manager
• Based out of our warehouse in Pflugerville, travel throughout our sales area during the day for appointments
