What are the responsibilities and job description for the Meat Packer/Processor position at Grand Western?
Florida's fastest growing food service distributor is interviewing for the position of Meat Packer/Processor in FT Lauderdale, FL. Competitive salary with complete benefit package including health insurance and matching 401K plan.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Process & pack meat products to order schedule specifications either by hand or by various machines
- Inspect, weigh & grind meats (beef, pork and/or lamb) to various specifications
- Sharpen and adjust cutting/processing equipment. Start-up and shut down equipment.
- Receive and inspect meat. Maintain proper stock levels on production line.
- Identify various product forms by sight and pack each product according to specifications (type of product, boxes, labels, etc.)
- Make boxes according to specifications
- Adhere to all company SOPs, GMPs, procedures and work consistently with all food safety, quality and sanitation requirements
- Perform all other duties as assigned that are necessary, required or directed by management.
- Maintain a safe, clean, organized work area throughout the facility and common areas.
- Hours: Mon to Fri, 6am to until finish (approx. 3pm depending on the day)
