Position Overview
The Inventory & Logistics Coordinator works within our Drilling and Production Services division to ensure all blended chemicals and products are properly stored and shipped. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a forklift to load and unload product, manage site inventory, aid sales staff, build Bill Of Ladings, coordinate and manage all logistics activity with incoming and outgoing bulk trucks, interact directly with customers to coordinate deliveries, and ensure materials are properly marked for TDG requirements.
Key Responsibilities
The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
- Unload incoming deliveries and loading products for shipment per company policy, ISO 9001 procedures and TDG Requirements
- Coordinate directly with hauling companies to organize timing and logistics of outgoing deliveries.
- Create BOL’s. (Bill of Ladings)
- Execute orders and coordinate sales directly with customer.
- Perform weekly inventory management counts
- Assist with field deliveries
- Assist in stenciling, labeling, palletizing, shrink-wrapping/banding of materials for shipment.
- Accurately and efficiently perform all task as assigned
- Use small hand tools and operate handling equipment.
- Understand and comply with all safety, environmental requirements and company policies
- Perform all activities in accordance with established safety and environmental policies and procedures
- Play an active role in efforts to improve the working environment to insure the safety and health of all employees
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment
- Be available (on call) for weekends and evenings to support stimulation chemicals team.
- Perform various other duties by the sales and operations staff as required
Qualifications and Education Requirements
The successful candidate will have:
- Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Forklift Certification with 1-2 years’ experience. Experience with liquid based materials is considered an asset
- TDG, WHMIS 2015, First Aid Certifications
- Physically fit with a positive attitude
- Ability to work outside in all types of weather
- Maintenance and computer skills are a strong plus
- Oil and Gas chemical knowledge is considered an asset
- Good verbal communication skills
- Ability to follow oral instructions
- Ability to work closely with fellow employees
