Granger is seeking a Project Manager to lead onsite operations for a large data center construction project with a lead technology client. From inception through commissioning, our Project Managers are responsible for all aspects of project delivery. Qualified candidates will have experience in data center and mission critical construction.

Day In the Life of a Project Manager

Are you energized by seeing a project from start to finish? Does brainstorming and collaborating new, outside-the-box ideas excite you? Do you enjoy building relationships with contractors while maintaining an efficient project schedule? Yes? Great! You'll fit right in.

We would count on you to support our team with:

• Develop a high-performance team through supervision, training, and mentoring our talented team.
• Demonstrate and maintain clear, effective communication with owners, architects, partners, teammates.
• Timely action. Ensure appropriate documentation and timely tasks with RFIs, submittal, cost change, schedule changes, meetings, etc.
• Work with design and preconstruction teams in development of the project. Partner with Accounting to ensure payments are received in a timely manner.
• Understand our client and all project requirements: develop and distribute construction schedule, plan for coordination of MEP and BIM. Coordinate with accounting, design, and estimating teams.
• Cost and expediting. Understand and administer subcontracts and purchase orders. Ensure costs and expediting schedules are updated, monitor cost changes, and continuous outside-the-box thinking to initiate solutions and alternatives.
• Manage the budget and financial reporting. Interpret and analyze reports to ensure the project budget is on target.
• Close out and commissioning. Attain the zero-punch list goal. Keep accurate record, prepare, deliver, and hand-off close out materials to owner prior to occupancy.
• Fostering relationships. Maintain and enhance a professional relationship with owner, architect, subcontractor and vendor.

What Experience You Bring

• Education. Bachelor's degree in building construction management, civil engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Walk the walk. At least 10 years of related experience.
• Talk the talk. Lead by example with excellent verbal and written communication.
• Construction smarts. Thorough knowledge of construction costs, scheduling, estimating, purchasing, engineering principles, and accounting principles.
• Organization. Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Trust your instincts. You can anticipate needs, take initiative, and proactively address issues.
• A true go-getter. You have tenacity to self-start and accomplish tasks, follow-through, and meet deadlines.
• Entrepreneurial-minded. The ability to see the big picture while simultaneously focusing on the details.
• Technologically savvy. Construction Management has become very tech-forward. Being able to pick up computer programs and new technologies quickly will aide in your success.
