Dishwasher

Job Purpose

Responsible for the cleanliness of the kitchen, the kitchen equipment and dish room area of CVI Center. All cleaning to be done in accordance with quality standards of the kitchen manager. This description is not intended to be all inclusive, and the employee may also perform other reasonably related business duties as assigned by the supervisor and other management as required.

• To wash, sanitize and put away breakfast and lunch service preparation equipment, to include pots, pans, utensils, mixer attachments and slicer attachments. This extends to all service ware i.e. dishes, silverware, cups, mugs and trays.
• Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pick up areas.
• Ensure kitchen work areas, equipment and utensils are in clean and orderly condition.
• Aid in putting deliveries away and restocking supplies
• Clean garbage and sanitize garbage, compost and recycling receptacles
• Assist in breakfast and lunch service setup/clean up.

• Sweep and mop all floors in the service area, preparation kitchen, walk in refrigerator and dish room
• Clean all floor mats.
• Wash and sanitize food service transport carts.
• To keep dish room and 3 bay sink area in clean and sanitary working order.
• Maintains a professional manner at all times.
• May perform routine preventative maintenance as required.
• Performs other job duties and projects, reasonably related to business, as requested.

Competencies and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Ability to train entry level workers as needed
• Reliability and positive work ethic
• Demonstrate willingness to grow in position including attendance of training classes outside of normal business hours, with pay
• Good oral, written and organizational communication skills
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to take direction
• Strong team player
