Overview
Grata is looking for a VP of People to join our team as we continue to experience rapid growth across our organization. We’re looking for someone with deep expertise and leadership in People Ops to bring a creative approach to strategizing how Grata can bring in the best talent and execute on thoughtful initiatives.

About the Role:
- Provide strategic direction and expertise for the full scope of the People Operations function using innovative best practices and policies
- Ensure Grata’s initiatives are structured to build and retain a world class team while creating a high-performing culture of excellence, transparency and collaboration
- Anticipate obstacles and proactively identify and implement solutions to keep up with and stay ahead of the growth of the business
- Establish quantitative metrics and goals for employee growth, engagement, retention, and DEI
- Review and improve the compensation and benefits programs across Grata to ensure benefit programs continue to meet the growing needs of both our employees and the company
- Partner closely with stakeholders across Grata to drive innovative solutions to enhance the employee experience and support long-term growth objectives
- Refine our talent acquisition strategy to develop comprehensive recruiting plans, including branding, sourcing channels, screening, interviewing, assessments, DEI, job offers and compensation alignment
About You:
- 8 years of People Operations/HR-related experience, with at least 4 years in senior leadership positions at fast-growing, innovative companies
- Highly effective strategic planning and analytical skills that resulting in high impact policies, plans and initiatives
- Deep understanding of organizational design, performance management, leadership development, and succession planning
- Exceptional attention to detail, critical thinking abilities and strong organizational skills
- Strong project management skills and experience managing cross-functional relationships and priorities
- Competence in interpreting internal compensation framework and external market survey data, in addition to identifying emerging trends
- Thorough knowledge of federal and state employment laws, specifically NYC
- Excellent judgment with outstanding communication and relationship-building skills
