Position Summary
As a Machine Lab Technician, the candidate is not only responsible for the routine mechanical maintenance and repairs, but they are also responsible for the performance of the machines. Ensuring the machinery works to a high standard and the area is kept show room clean at all times. An excellent customer face and great leadership skills are imperative. The position requires good electro-mechanical aptitude and ability to follow operation procedures to produce products that meet quality standards.
Duties and responsibilities:
This role duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Service maintenance
- Mechanical/Electrical repairs
- Customer support
- Site parts management
- Trouble shooting
- Daily service reports
- Performing routine inspections of manufacturing equipment
- Evaluating the efficiency of each unit regularly, identifying improvements as needed
- Test operation of machines periodically
- Keep records of approved and defective units or final products

Requirements
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3-year previous experience working in a production / manufacturing environment.
- Must be capable of following standard operation instructions, guidelines, and procedures.
- Basic understanding of mathematics including, but not limited to measurements, computation, and calculations.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have strong attention to detail, with ability to maintain quality standards.
- Excellent teamwork skills; proactive helpful attitude and process-oriented mentality.
- Must be able to keep work area clean and free of hazards.
- Aptitude in mechanics and/or electronics strongly preferred.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift, push up to 60 pounds. The employee is frequently required to walk and stand for at least 8 hours. The employee may be exposed to static electricity while assembling materials.
Education/Training Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Training in electro-mechanical concepts desired but not required.
