WRDW-TV News 12 is an award-winning television station and news organization located in Augusta, Georgia, covering the Central Savannah River Area.

WRDW-TV is owned by Atlanta-based Gray Television, and is a sister station to NBC affiliate WAGT-CD (channel 26). Our offices and studios are located at 1226 Gray Way, Augusta, Georgia 30909.

The News 12 NBC 26 award-winning news team has been recognized with national, regional, and state honors including 2 national and 16 regional Edward R. Murrow Awards. As Augusta’s CBS and NBC affiliate, the news team produces 40 hours of news weekly and also has a dynamic presence on digital platforms and social media.

In February of 2021, the station launched its new facility complete with state-of-the-art studios, control room, and newsroom.

Job Summary/Description:

WRDW is seeking a Creative Services Coordinator to write, shoot and edit news promos and commercials. The ideal candidate is a highly creative, enthusiastic individual who can conceptualize, write, produce, direct and edit news promos, commercials and local shows.

Must be an idea-generator and able to collaborate well with others, including clients, account executives and other creatives. Requires balancing multiple projects with competing deadlines. You must be a self-motivator and highly organized. This job requires hands-on production in every aspect: shooting, editing and graphics. The job may also include on-air promotion and other duties assigned by the Creative Services Director.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud, primarily Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Knowledge of production lighting techniques.
• Must be proficient with DSLR and Sony gear and demonstrate strong cinematography skills.
• Must have strong organizational skills and be skilled at presenting ideas and gaining the approval and satisfaction of clients.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
• Candidates must be comfortable in both Mac & PC environments.
• A four-year college degree is preferred or equivalent professional experience.
• Must be self-motivated and demonstrate the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously, both independently, as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
• Time-management skills and day-to-day project flexibility are required, along with a sense of urgency to deliver projects under tight deadlines.
