Job Summary/Description:

WAVE in Louisville, KY is searching for an experienced Digital Content Producer/Assignment Editor to join our award-winning news team.

Responsibilities include producing written and video news content for all digital platforms including station website/apps, social media & OTT. Working quickly to send out breaking news, weather, and traffic alerts, including push notifications, social media updates and web stories that are updated as news develops.

Ability to perform assignment desk duties including monitoring news wires/police radios, maintain phone lists of sources, keep files/records of upcoming news events is a must.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of digital/news content producing experience
• Planning/assignment desk experience strongly preferred. Ambition to excel and a work ethic that leads by example.
• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Broadcasting, Communications or equivalent training/experience strongly preferred.
