POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Night House Supervisor is the first level of authority assigned to the hospital in the absence of the Ancillary, Cath Lab, OR/PACU, ED and Inpatient managers or directors. The House Supervisor assumes responsibility for supervision and administrative decision making in collaboration with providers clinical managers and the CNO. Gives direction to Cath Lab, OR/PACU, Inpatient, ED Staff and all clinical and non-clinical support staff. Receives direction from CNO.
SHIFT: 7PM - 7AM, 7 on and 7 off.
EDUCATION:
Graduate of nursing program.
EXPERIENCE:
- Must have minimal of 3 years’ experience, as an RN in a hospital setting; recent ICU or experience, required.
- Experience in care of patients from infancy to geriatrics, preferred.
- Experience in patient flow, resource nurse and nurse leadership, preferred.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:
- Current MT State RN license, required.
- CPR, required.
- ACLS and PALS required or must obtain upon 6 months of employment.
- ENPC, TNCC, CCRN, preferred.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Use of basic office equipment.
- Use of multiple IV pumps.
- Ability to operate advanced medical equipment, including A-lines, invasive lines, chest tubes, patients requiring ventilator support.
- Experience and knowledge of advanced nursing principles and procedures, care of the post-operative patient, medical patients, and a strong background in cardiac monitoring is required.
- Highly skilled interacting with people at all levels of the organization.
- Must possess exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, be customer service oriented, and work as an integral part of the team.
- Requires flexibility, independent thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to demonstrate ability to initiate and develop special projects.
- Must be able to handle a busy workload.
