The Business Process Documentation Intern will assist in modifying and editing business process documents developed in Microsoft Word and stored in SharePoint. This role is ideal for a student or recent graduate who is detail-oriented, has strong writing and editing skills, and is proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint. The intern will gain hands-on experience in managing documents and their associated metadata attributes and supporting the business. They will gain practical experience in document management and business process documentation, work with experienced professionals in a collaborative environment, develop skills in metadata management and SharePoint and contribute to real-world business transitions and process improvements. Responsibilities And Functions Include
Document Modification and Editing:
- Assist in reviewing, modifying, and editing business process documents to ensure accuracy and clarity.
- Correct format and alignment issues encountered in editing.
- Update document content to reflect changes due to business transitions.
- Add and update metadata attributes for documents stored in SharePoint.
- Ensure that all documents have accurate metadata to enhance searchability.
- Follow proper naming conventions.
- Conduct thorough reviews of documents to meet company standards.
- Identify and correct any errors or inconsistencies in documents.
- Assist in transition period of updating documents to align with new business processes and policies.
- Communicate changes and updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Work closely with business process managers and stakeholders.
- Participate in team meetings to provide updates on document status and gather feedback.
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in Business Administration, Information Management, Communications, or a related field.
- Experience with document management and metadata attributes.
- Familiarity with business process documentation.
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
