The opportunity:
We are seeking a Yard Foreman to be responsible for executing and managing daily operations in our Chesapeake, VA pipe yard reporting directly to the Yard Operations Manager.

Responsibilities and functions include:
- Operate forklift/front end loader to load and unload trucks with pipe and misc. dredging equipment
- Scheduling trucks to send equipment to job sites or vendors
- Perform maintenance and work assignments provided by the Yard Operations Manager
- Maintain an organized and well documented yard inventory
- Ensure crew and vendors are performing tasks in accordance with GLDD safety policies
- Assist deckhands, vessel crew, and contracted workers on tasks within the yard and dock
- Other duties as assigned
Experience required:
- Heavy Equipment Operator Experience
- Management Experience
Other requirements:
- Complete a pre-employment physical examination and drug screen
- Valid Driver’s License with good driving history
- Able to lift and carry 31-50 lbs
- Willingness to learn
- Knowledge of basic computer software (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe)
- Ability to communicate with managers and other employees effectively

Salary : $54,200 - $68,600
