Great Lakes Wine & Spirits is a growing statewide company seeking a Warehouse Checker (Put-Away Associate) for one of our warehouse facilities in Metro Detroit .
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The Warehouse Checker is responsible for sorting and putting away product within the warehouse ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions.
These duties involve scanning and putting away non-damaged products correctly in a safe and efficient manner. Other duties include but not limited to assisting on returns dock and light janitorial as needed.

Work Environment & Physical Demands
The Warehouse Checker will be on the road in all weather conditions and entering account stores. This requires the employee to be courteous, respectful and friendly to others.
This position is also physically demanding in nature, separating and loading cases, and requires the Delivery Associate to occasionally lift up to 55 pounds.
Pay & Benefits
- $17.00 per hour

Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age
- High School Diploma / GED
- Ability to be active and on your feet for an entire shift
- Ability to frequently lift and carry 55 lbs., and push or pull up to 100 lbs.
- Hi-Lo / Pallet Jack experience (preferred - willing to train)
Additional Requirements
- Adhere to the policies and procedures outlined in the employee policy manual and any applicable contracts, signed agreements, and work rules.
- Cooperates with all management and staff of GLWAS.
- Follows all MLCC rules and regulations, as they apply to the position.
- Use alcohol in a responsible manner when related to business activities.
- Ability to pass pre-employment screenings including a full Background Check, 10-Panel Drug Test, Physical Evaluation, and Agility Test
