Brief Description:
The Field Manager is responsible for GPOR activities in specific regions. The position will be responsible for supervising the operations at the GPOR operational area assigned to them. They will maintain the quality of equipment and services provided to the field and ensure that all equipment is repaired as needed and billed accordingly. This position works under the direction of the Operations Manager.

Detailed Description:

  • Train new employees and mentor employees.
  • Ensure proper Job Safety Analysis (JSA) in compliance with Company policies.
  • Work in a heavy industrial environment which includes working around constantly moving overhead machinery, being in close proximity to loud equipment and handling potentially hazardous chemicals.
  • Collaborate with Management and the Supply Chain department for acquiring new assets.
  • Maintain and organize inspection reports and service tickets on rental inventory/services for accurate billing.
  • Coordinate personnel and equipment at the facility and in the field for successful operations.
  • Increase efficiencies of equipment and/or services.
  • Oversee maintenance schedules for equipment.
  • Assist in staffing requirements, interviews, hiring requirements and job assignments.
  • Analyze asset utilization.
  • Evaluate work performance of employees.
  • Identify opportunities to lower expenses and gain revenues within the region.
  • Track all equipment for assigned yards and perform monthly and periodic inventory audits.
  • Interpret and implement policies and practices and promote and enforce safety standards and procedures.
  • Comply with all Company and customer Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies, rules, practices, and guidelines.
  • Inspect employee’s and own safety equipment and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for wear and replace as needed.
  • Maintain awareness to safely move around work environment with many moving objects.
  • Resolve complaints and disputes in the field with employees and/or customers, building the customer base, and tend to the needs of customers.

Job Requirements:

  • Demonstrate basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Office applications and be able to learn company specific applications.
  • Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and specifications to maintain standardization of rental equipment.
  • Demonstrate clear communication skills including ability to read, write and speak English, and to promptly follow verbal and written directions in English along with the ability to establish and maintain effective rapport with all employees at different levels both in the office and in the field.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with demonstrated ability to conduct effective presentations and written report preparation.
  • Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and ensure that all employees wear PPE at all designated times which could include but is not limited to: hard hat, safety glasses, FR coveralls, protective toe footwear, work gloves, respirator, and hearing protection.
  • Ability to safely navigate work sites with occasional walking, climbing, standing, stepping, etc., during normal operating conditions (day/night, outdoor hot/cold weather) and while utilizing designated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to safely lift, carry, push and/or pull 50 pounds.
  • Requires bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting, and crawling, walking on uneven surfaces, and climbing equipment ladders or stairs throughout the work shift.
  • Must stay alert and focused during the shift while performing repetitive and routine activities.
  • Build engaging relationships at all levels in the organization as well as with customers and effectively influence decisions.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle difficult situations.
  • Ability to lead by example and be a good mentor to field employees.
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate with other employees, customers and third parties.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work under time-sensitive deadlines while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor when adversity and multiple initiatives/priorities are encountered including potential emergency response situations.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Willing and able to operate and maintain equipment in a safe manner while working in all weather conditions during a possible 12 hour work shift that can include days or nights, as well as weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to travel as needed to other offices and work sites, occasionally requiring extended travel to remote locations and/or overnight stay(s) outside normal office area.
  • Ability to maintain Company and employee confidentiality at all times, handle sensitive employee information and protect Company proprietary information in an appropriate manner.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • The selected individual will have direct reports.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 2-3 years’ experience in the Oil & Gas industry; familiar with oilfield equipment.
  • Must have and maintain valid state-issued driver’s license, be eligible to drive a Company vehicle and meet the requirements of the Company’s vehicle program, policy and/or guidelines.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a current DOT medical card registered with the state licensing agency for non-excepted interstate.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field
  • Supervisory experience
  • Prior Military Service

Additional Details :
The Field Manager must work with an emphasis on individual safety and safety for others, including coworkers and third parties. This position includes working outdoors for long periods of time in all types of weather conditions typical of the area where the job is located, including dust, humidity, sleet, snow, rain, mud, cold, heat, wind, and other inclement weather. Working conditions for this position may involve exposure to varying outdoor conditions, including environmental chemicals, gases, noise, dampness, fumes, radiation, and heights.
