What are the responsibilities and job description for the Surveillance Operator position at Great River Entertainment?
The surveillance operator is responsible for monitoring video and audio surveillance equipment to ensure the integrity of the casino's security systems, gaming procedures, and internal controls. The surveillance agent works in a confined space within the casino and maintains the confidentiality of all surveillance activities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Monitors the live games pit area for gaming cheats and employee infractions
· Monitors the casino interior for suspicious looking or intoxicated individuals
· Ensures that all video and audio equipment is operating at beginning and end of each shift
· Keeps recording logs up-to-date and properly stored
· Maintains a sign-in/sign-out log on individuals authorized to enter surveillance room
· Prohibits unauthorized individuals from entering surveillance room
· Observes and records the collection of money, chips and tokens from gaming tables and slot machines
· Performs other surveillance related duties as assigned by the surveillance manager
· Adheres to reporting and/or recording responsibilities relative to the Bank Secrecy Act.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of video, audio and two-way radio communications equipment
Knowledge of casino games preferred
Visual acuity correctable to 20/20; normal color perception, night vision
Ability to work without close supervision
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be able to acquire and maintain an IRGC gaming license.
Ability to tend to details.
Capable of working without close supervision.
MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The employee is regularly required to see; talk; hear; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move and apply force of 10 pounds.
MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or GED.
MINIMUM LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS: Ability to read and write simple correspondence. Have the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions one-on-one or from groups of managers, employees, customers and the general public.
MINIMUM MATHEMATICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to calculate figures such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
MINIMUM REASONING SKILLS REQUIREMENTS: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is generally in a clean office. The noise level is low with no exposure to blood-borne pathogens.
