The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for the development, performance, and management of clinical patient care for nursing, medical assistants and other team members in clinical support roles.
Essential Duties:
- Responsible for smooth, efficient and safe operation of the fluoroscopy procedural suite. Responsibilities include preop/recovery of patients receiving interventional pain management procedures.
- Responsible for the assessment of patients’ post-operative condition
- Monitor vital signs and other measurements of progress
- Monitor patients for condition changes, reporting any changes to physician
- Perform intervention duties during post-operative emergencies
- Adheres to all organizational policies and procedures.
- Understand principles of aseptic technique and their implementation
- Solves patient issues to ensure expected results and excellent customer care. Assures quality of care philosophies and standards of care.
- Adheres to the state board of nursing and state nurse practice act requirements and to other governing agency regulations. Responsible for ensuring continuing education requirements to maintain licensure.
- Establishes a compassionate and respectful environment which values teamwork, integrity and dependability.
- Maintains supplies inventory by studying usage reports, identifying trends, anticipating needed supplies, approving requisitions and cost allocations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
EDUCATION: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
EXPERIENCE:
- Clinical experience preferably in a pain management, surgical center, primary care setting or ambulatory clinic with a focus on perioperative nursing care.
- Knowledge leading teams with clinical quality improvement, clinical workflow development, patient care coordination, preventative health, and nursing triage.
- Progressive management/leadership experience working in a healthcare environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Joint Commission standards, HIPAA regulations, Patient Centered Care, and Value Based Care.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE:
1. Unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) License in the State of Texas
2. Current healthcare provider Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) course completion card, American Heart Association BLS certification preferred.
