Open Position: Interim Director of Human Resources
Location: Warren County Career Center - Administration Office

Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Human Resources, Education or related field
  • Administrative licensure through the Ohio Department of Education
  • Certification in Human Resources (CHRS, pHCLE, SHRM or HRCI)
  • Previous administrative experience that includes evaluation of staff
  • Demonstrate professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and technology skills
  • Adheres to the Licensure Code of Professional Conduct for Ohio Educators
  • Maintains a record free of criminal violations that would prohibit public school employment. Able to successfully pass a BCI/FBI background check after job offer is made.
  • Maintains compliance with Board policies and other applicable procedures/guidelines
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
  • Ensure that department operations contribute to the attainment of district goals and objectives.
  • Provide equal employment opportunity and work cooperatively with others to ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations.
  • Develop and implement recruitment and retention strategies for district personnel.
  • Develop and implement a screening and selection process for all employees.
  • In collaboration with the Treasurer, oversee compliance with federal wage and overtime laws and ensure proper timekeeping for nonexempt personnel.
  • In collaboration with the Treasurer and Director of Facilities, manages the district's health insurance, optional employee benefits, workers compensation, and unemployment compensation benefit and safety programs.
  • Oversee the update of all board policies; monitor and review as needed.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of professional learning activities for employees; administers the district tuition reimbursement program
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Reports to: Superintendent

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: This Interim position will be contracted through July 31, 2023, with opportunity for additional contract.
  • Workdays stipulated as per calendar; salary as per salary schedule in effect as adopted by the Board of Education.
