The Office Manager makes the behind-the-scenes operations of Camp Wabansi work smoothly so campers and counselors can experience the magic of summer camp. Lead social media efforts and special events to spread the magic to the community and parents.
The Office Manager makes the behind-the-scenes operations of Camp Wabansi work smoothly so campers and counselors can experience the magic of summer camp. Lead social media efforts and special events to spread the magic to the community and parents.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Provide support to the Camp Wabansi leadership team through timely completion of summer camp paperwork including rosters, bus lists, and cash reports.
- Maintain confidentiality of camper and financial records and other personal information.
- Provide frontline customer service to parents to facilitate camp registrations.
- Maintain accurate camp inventories including office supplies, food, housekeeping, and camp store products.
- Coordinate marketing efforts including website updating, social media, and special events.
- Foster positive relationships with campers and other staff while exemplifying the YMCA core values of CARING, HONESTY, RESPECT and RESPONSIBILITY.
- Attend and contribute to all staff trainings, meetings, and events.
- Maintain a professional appearance and be prepared to make all parents, families, and campers feel comfortable with all questions answered.
- Maintain a safe environment for all campers. In the event of an emergency, serve as a first responder (responding, reporting, and preventing).
- Assist with camp programs and operations when needed.
- Serve as a lifeguard when assigned to ensure safe swimming and waterfront activities (not essential).
SKILLS AND TRAINING
- Must be at least 21 years of age with acceptable driving record as defined by Greater Green Bay YMCA policy. High school diploma, GED or equivalent required.
- Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office (Excel and Word) and other office equipment and cash-handling skills are required. Experience working in an office or customer service environment is preferred.
- Requires excellent customer service skills, friendliness, communication skills, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- The ability to independently prioritize workloads to meet timelines is essential.
- Flexibility, a sincere care for children, and a team player attitude are necessary.
- This position requires considerable walking, bending, and lifting of at least 30 pounds.
- CPR/AED and First Aid certifications required; training provided.
- Willingness to be Lifeguard certified is preferred; training provided.

Salary : $28,400 - $36,000
