Job Description: Under the direction of the Child Care Director, School-Age Child Care and Camp Director (Assistant Child Care Director) is responsible for the direct supervision of before and after school programs in the East Penn (Macungie, Shoemaker, Wescosville, Willow Lane Elementary Schools), Parkland (Cetronia, Fogelsville, Ironton, Kernsville, Kratzer, Jaindl, Parkway Manor, Schnecksville, Veterans Memorial Elementary Schools) and Allentown School District, in addition to a Summer Day Camp Program. We provide a safe, nurturing and positive learning environment for children to learn, grow and thrive.

Must bring to this position an educational background suited to the requirements of a YMCA Professional, Department of Human Services and PA Keystone STARS.

This position requires the candidate to have the ability to work independently, be a self-starter and have the desire to grow within the organization. The incumbent will implement and model strong classroom management, be a resource for professional development; supervise a team of staff; create and manage fiscal budget and grants; create a marketing plan that supports a progressive program for current and new participants; develop, expand and enhance quality educational programming; effectively communicate, build relationship building and problem solve; respond to emergency and safety situations.

Must have a commitment to excellence and high standards in implementing quality programming to support Curriculum and Assessments.

Educational Requirements: Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Education or Human Service Field.

Experience: 2 years of experience working with children.

Schedule: Monday - Friday (some evenings and weekends may be required for special events)

Hours : Full Time, Exempt position, Availability to work 45 hours between 6:30 AM - 6:00 PM

Base Location: 425 South 15th Street, Allentown, PA 18102 with the ability to travel through Lehigh County.
