About the Position
High quality project management is required to deliver the best customer experience. A successful Project Manager will manage a team and coordinate with others to ensure customers are communicated with in a timely manner and supply the appropriate expectations to ensure a great experience. The Project Manager’s responsibilities are both oversight and hands-on project management, along with customer interaction.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of multiple projects
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget. This includes tracking and communicating state and local permitting requirements and timelines, utility interconnections and other potential partner roadblocks.
- Manage the relationship with the client and relevant stakeholders. Communicate utility tariff and transformer fees
Coordinate administrative change order process for tariffs, groundwork, or other process changes.
- Serve as primary point of contact managing Customer experience during the execution phase of all projects
- Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant internal stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
- Ensure resource availability and allocation with Warehouse Manager
- Manage changes to the project scope and project schedule using appropriate verification technique; Report and escalate to management as needed
- Perform risk management in coordination with operation team to minimize potential project timing and cost risks
- Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
- Work with sales team to maintain detailed project briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project.
- Delegate project tasks based on team members' individual strengths, skill sets, and experience levels.
- Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals.
- Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members.
- Establish and maintain comprehensive project schedule for advance planning, communication, and execution of projects; Communicate changes and updates with all pertinent staff, vendors, and customers.
- Use and continually develop leadership skills.
- Attend conferences and training as required to maintain proficiency.
- Develop spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps to document needs.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Key Competencies / Requirements
- Proven working experience in project management, solar or renewable energy preferred
- PMP course work and/or certification preferred
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
- Succeed in a collaborative, team focused environment
