Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Financial Analyst plays na important role in planning and monitoring key financial metrics of the Company’s operations. This role will support accounting and financial reporting activities including monthly financial period close processes, commission calculations and vendor payments, and will also coordinate to support all functional departments of the Company (e.g., sales, marketing, customer service, procurement). Reporting to the Senior Financial Analyst, this position will be responsible to:
- Ability to sort/mine large sets of data from multiple data sources (General ledger, CRM, Excel) to identify trends/variances.
- Prepare monthly management reports including standard packages
- Create ad hoc templates, reports, and analysis for use by managers to evaluate their businesses, including industry benchmarking.
- Prepares the annual forecast/budgeting process from initiation to Board approval for their area of responsibility.
- Consolidate and analyze financial data (budgets, income statement forecasts etc) taking into account company’s goals and financial standing
- Analyze product pricing and margin for new product launches, proposed price changes, bundle, etc
- Assemble and summarize data to structure sophisticated reports on financial status and risks
- Track and determine financial status by analyzing actual results in comparison with forecasts
- Track and monitor KPIs.
- Prepare financial reporting and analysis related to special projects.
- All other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or related field
- At least 2 years’ experience in an Analyst role
- Practical knowledge in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets
- Ability to apply “what-if” scenarios and sensitivity analysis
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and diligent management of sensitive / confidential information
- Advanced Excel experience
- Deep understanding of financial reporting
- Understanding of Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools and applying to meet information needs supporting Company operations
