We are looking to hire a talented, hands-on data engineer, who is interested in working on our cloud-based solutions for pipelining public and private data from multiple sources throughout our systems. You will be working on an Agile team dedicated to parsing and processing, aggregating, and enriching the latest CRE data used by our clients and an internal team of researchers to provide the most comprehensive view of the Commercial Real Estate in the world.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Design and build data ingestion models, ETLs, and testing to maintain data integrity and availability
- Document data models and ER diagrams
- Develop, maintain, and improve current data architecture
- Design and build database schema for financial and real estate data
- Collaborate with research, product, and operations teams to deepen analytical toolkit and improve workflow
- Aid and perform analysis on large aggregated (e.g.: demographic, geographic, GIS / spatial) datasets
- Work directly with a development team in California and other offshore development team members in various time zones
- Able to overlap with US West coast 3 4 hours to participate in data team discussions
We are highly selective candidates should possess the following:
- A Bachelor s degree in Computer Science / Engineering or comparable experience
- Strong programming skills with 2-4 years of experience in a scripting language (Python preferred)
- Proficient database skills with experience in either MySQL, SQL, or PostgreSQL
- Must enjoy problem solving, have excellent communication skills, and demonstrate attention to detail
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, agile environment
- Willingness and desire to keep up with new cloud technologies, languages, standards, and practices
- Prior knowledge of finance, mathematics, or GIS / spatial data and previous Git experience is a plus
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a remote team
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in a scripting language (Python preferred)
- Working knowledge of SQL with ability to write complex SQL queries to retrieve and manipulate data sets
- Passion for data organization and relational data structures
- Knowledge of database design, optimization techniques, maintenance, and warehousing
- Experience in Amazon RDS, Redshift, NoSQL techniques (e.g.: MongoDB), and similar technologies is a plus
