Job Description:

Our client, a nationwide diagnostic testing center, is in need of Phlebotomists to join their team in Greenville, SC. The main function of a phlebotomist is to assist in performing various assigned duties, trouble shooting, training and making work flow recommendations. Covid Flu vax required for this location Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, $21-22/hr

Responsibilities:

• Phlebotomist will order, draw and process specimens and will be responsible for storing specimens at the correct temperature, processing and preparing for courier pick-up

• Practice proper patient identification, label vials with patient names and dates

• Expect to work with a large number of patients varying in age and health status

• Be friendly, courteous and sympathetic when it comes to working with patients

Education Requirements:

• High School Diploma

Desired Background/Skills:

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

• Ability to successfully draw blood from patients with minimal or no complications

• Empathy and interpersonal skills for working with patients

• Detail-oriented and committed to ensuring patient confidentiality

• Excellent motor skills and the ability to stand for long periods of time

• Advanced written and verbal communication skills

• Data entry and computer skills

• Strong attention to detail

• Covid Vaccination is required

Qualifications:

• Must have experience with pediatrics (at least 1 year)

• Experience in Phlebotomy at a Doctor Office/Quest/Any Lab/Hospital

• MUST have experience with venipuncture and specimen collection

• Must know the order-of-draw and have tube/test knowledge

• Must have tube/test knowledge ? understand what tests go in which colored tubes, etc.

• Must have patient interaction experience, customer-service-minded individual, be friendly, courteous and sympathetic when it comes to working with patients

• Must have EXCELLENT customer service skill

• Candidate must be able to grasp a firm understanding of the importance of compliance and safety on the job
