Job Summary:
Established and growing landscaping company is seeking a full-time Accounting Assistant to join our team. This position works directly with the Office Manager and Controller and is responsible for a variety of tasks relating to finance and operations. We are looking for a candidate who is a highly motivated, quick learning, and is looking for a company to grow with.
Accounting Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts payable and collections
- Accurate entry of transactions into the ERP system and QuickBooks with job and cost center coding
- Reconcile credit card statements and process receipts in QuickBooks
- Create purchase orders and assist in budget review
- Assist with general accounting duties
- Support with HR tasks as assigned
- Answer phone in a professional manner, properly directing calls
- Maintain positive and professional staff, client, and vendor relationships
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Relevant associate’s or bachelor’s degree required
- 2 years of related experience
- QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite experience is required
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles
- Ability to manage changing priorities and multi-task efficiently
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem solver and analytical thinker
