Keen eye for detail, and the ability to spot potentially fraudulent or dishonest activitiesProfessional, well-organized, and able to multitaskBachelor’s degree in accounting or combination of relevant education, experience and trainingA working knowledge of Microsoft’s D365 is a distinct advantage. Previous Accounts Receivable/Collections experience required (2-4 years). Job Responsibilities:  Posts cash receipts and returns to customer accounts in a timely and accurate manner.  Prepares bank depositsMaintains an up-to-date collections.  Prepares correspondence to customers as necessary to facilitate effective collection of past due amountsMakes regular collection calls with respect to overdue and delinquent accounts, obtaining commitments from customers with respect to the payment of outstanding invoices Begin the process of using D365 as an active collection tool Prepare an end of month high level summary of potential risk accounts and a summary of collection effortsHandles collections, billing and credit inquiries from customers and internal stakeholders, including Customer Service and Sales staffPerform a monthly detailed analysis of the agingChecks the credit worthiness of existing and prospective customersTracks and investigates deductions (charge backs) from customer paymentsOwn the day-today Accounts Receivable and Collection process while seeking to continuously improve and automate existing processes in placeCross train and back up essential operating duties of team members as neededFacilitate the collection of funds process and customer follow up Escalate customer issues immediately with Controller, Director of Finance and Sales TeamEnsures the confidentially and security of all financial and customer files.   Total Compensation & Care:  Base salary dependent on experience and demonstrated performance  Formal and informal training opportunities  Comprehensive health and dental benefits  Income protection: short- and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, paid personal sick time  Vacation time exceeding industry standards  Company funded retirement savings program with individual contribution opportunities  Meaningful and challenging work  Curated intentional culture focused on growth and development, engagement, and communication   About Us  We own and operate five distilleries, four specialty chemical manufacturing and packaging plants, and three next-generation biofuel and renewable energy R&D centers.
