General Summary:
This position is responsible for performing routine and extensive range of work in the repair and general maintenance of building and equipment.
Principle Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on building and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment.
- Assist in GPS pit stops (Kaizen events).
- Create new or replacement parts for various machines via existing fabrication equipment.
- Assist manufacturing engineers in specifying required repair parts.
- Utilize maintenance software daily for prioritizing work and recording results.
- Participate in training as required by new processes and equipment to safely perform maintenance and operate.
- Perform daily preventive maintenance and housekeeping (5S) of own work area and tools.
- Operate material handling equipment as needed based on safety guidelines.

Job Specifications:
- In addition to a HS/GED, a two year maintenance tech degree or equivalent is required.
- OSHA 10 Hour Certification preferred.
- At least two years of prior maintenance experience.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Standing for a minimum of 8 hours daily.
- Continuous lifting, climbing, kneeling, pulling, bending, etc.
- Moderate level of concentration and analytical ability with a high focus on safety and quality.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and written.
- Ability to use basic hand tools, power tools, and read measuring devices.
- Basic math and computer skills required.
- Ability to safely operate equipment (material handling equipment).
- Ability to read and understand blueprints/drawings and equipment owner manuals.
- Exceptional problem solving and time management skills (work independently).
- Understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Basic knowledge of electrical schematics and controls.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment
