Your opportunity:
Primary responsibilities will be to oversee the day-to-day operations of team members providing both leadership and development opportunities. Supervises the continual workflow, processes, and resourcing requirements based on business need. Performs analysis, development, and implementation of methods and processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the business unit. Leads multiple cross-functional projects to develop application solutions that achieve successful organizational performance goals. Communication of business process projects either within and/or outside the business unit or company is critical to ensure timelines are accomplished.
What you'll be doing:
- Work directly with Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Order Processing, and Manufacturing to improve, develop, and maintain product configuration related components used to determine the company product that best meets the engineering application.
- Identify, define, and prioritize projects understanding service expectations. Communicate deadlines to meet timelines that may be established by other areas of the business.
- Manages employee development planning as well as support, coordinate and execute the employee performance process. Effectively lead, train and/or mentor other systems professionals on complex technical material and/or solutions.
- Supports, assists, and encourages team members to accomplish their roles and responsibilities. Develops effective team interactions through an environment where individuals and team members learn and grow professionally.
- Leads research and fact-finding projects to develop or modify information systems as applicable to the business unit needs. Determine and allocate required resources to support multiple projects being worked on simultaneously which are time sensitive in nature.
- Proficient in developing and communicating complex functional or technical specification information to varied audiences in a manner that they can understand. Ability to communicate business value of solutions effectively.
- Comprehensive understanding of inter-dependencies between various systematic programs and information that affects downstream processes as it relates to product configuration development, maintenance, and testing. Document business processes and create functional specifications as well as the ability to read and understand documentation created by others.
- Capability to understand and be able to troubleshoot the root-cause of complex problems, research and propose possible solutions in scope of Greenheck current systems or other available technology. May identify, develop, and test solutions as well as create and maintain solution documentation. Work to implement chosen solution.
- Ability to manage internal and/or multi business unit process improvement projects cross-functionally and establish project priorities and deadlines. Consult with project sponsor and/or business teams to confirm required project and to determine if components of the project are in alignment with the business unit strategy.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and business acumen that will build strong relationships with coworkers as well as internal and/or external customers.
- Communicate business unit programming needs to the corporate IT department as required and work closely with IT programmers to implement changes in an efficient and timely manner.
- Ability to provide backup to technical roles if required or applicable
- Define, lead, assist with implementation, and provide project management for customer facing systems projects.
- Will learn business unit products and participate in modeling and programming of projects for customer facing systems.
- Will drive the business unit needs in the next generation of customer facing systems.
- Effectively resolve conflicts.
- Constructively offer feedback and ideas for improvements in processes, systems, and other areas relating to customer facing systems.
- Professional at all levels of the organization to include written communications, meetings, team settings and internal and external customer interactions.
- Has the ability to understand the application of the products we sell along with our go-to-market strategies.
- Maintain strong knowledge of industry trends and advancements in technology.
What you should have:
- Work requires extensive technical or specialized training such as that which would be acquired by completing a regular four-year college program or equivalent work experience.
- Between 4-6 years of relevant work experience is required.
- Must have the ability to work in both a collaborative environment and independently.
