We are seeking personnel for basic Firewatch duties to join our team for part-time positions. We have a part-time schedule that facilitates flexible hours based on the client’s total time requested, which are generally 8-12 hour shifts both daytime and overnight. The optimal applicant does not require past experience however, we are looking for people that plan on living in a certain area or region for long periods of time, looking for side work, and show up on time. Retirees and people who don’t rely on this job as their sole source of income a plus. No age limitations.
As a Firewatch, you will be responsible for observing client facilities and making hourly check-ins. The Firewatch monitors the work area for potential fire hazards and responds swiftly to any signs of fire or smoke. In the event of fire, immediately alert emergency response personnel. May be required to extinguish small fires while emergency responders are enroute.

Role and Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Must show up on time and be dependable
- Maintain alertness and awareness at all times.
- Perform routine visual checks of client area.
- Fill out checklist as visual checks are performed.
- Monitor the assigned area for smoke or fire.
- Respond to fire alarms or hazards.
Firewatch Skills:
- Must be able to stand for 3 hours.
- Must be able to lift to 25lbs.
- Basic computer skills
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent sense of judgment
- Can stay alert at all times
- Basic checklist and report writing skills
Responsibilities
- Firewatch may be asked to coordinate with onsite client representative upon arrival, incident, or departure of assigned locations.
Preferred Qualification and Education:
- 1 year previous Firewatch experience preferred but not mandatory.
Work authorization requirements
- Must be authorized to work in the US.
- Must be English Fluent
Must have valid Drivers License and means to commute
