Installer/Helper

Responsibilities:

• Installers will Assemble, install, or maintain solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on roofs or other structures in compliance with site assessment
• The PV Installer will be responsible for installing systems from beginning to end
• Will consist of working on residential rooftops as well as installing ground mounted systems
• Assembly of mechanical/structural mounting of racking, modules and electrical equipment
• May include measuring, cutting, assembling, and bolting structural framing and solar modules
• May perform minor electrical work such as current checks
• Install solar energy systems
• Apply sealants or other protective coatings
• Install electrical components, equipment, or systems

Qualifications:

• Ideal candidates are motivated team players with a strong work ethic and a desire to learn and master all aspects of installing PV solar systems
• Valid driver’s license
• Experience in mechanical installations, general construction and ladder work
• Experience with all types of hand-held and power tools
• Experience working with all types of building materials - various roof types: stucco, wood, concrete, etc
• Team player who listens, learns, and actively communicates
• Visual thinkers are good at problem solving and implementing ideas
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multitask
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Working in a team environment and coworkers, and remains tactful when communicating
• Prolonged periods of standing and being on feet
• Must be able to lift 50lbs -75lbs
• Must be able to work with heights; rooftops and climbing ladders Education And Experience
