DESCRIPTION:
GREENWAY FORD'S BUSY EAST ORLANDO SERVICE DEPARTMENT HAS AN IMMEDIATE OPENING FOR A PART TIME - LOT PORTER/VALETS.
We are currently looking for an outgoing and dependable individual to greet our valued customers arriving at our service department. The Valet / Porter will welcome customers and ensure a smooth transition to a Service Advisor by confirming appointments and obtaining basic information about the reason for the customer’s visit. In addition, he or she will move customer vehicles in and around the lot and service areas, ensure vehicles are kept in a clean and damage free manner, and help with cleaning and custodial duties in the shop and lot areas.
The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, an unrestricted driver's license and a clean driving record, a positive attitude and professional appearance, and great communication skills. Candidates must be willing and able to work in a non-climate controlled environment that includes enduring the heat of summer and the cold of winter and must be able to drive both automatic and standard transmission vehicles. Experience as a valet and/or knowledge of automotive servicing and repair is a plus.
Part time shifts available are Monday through Friday and some Saturdays. Will discuss further during interview.
Applicant MUST also HAVE A VALID FLORIDA DRIVERS LICENSE WITH A CLEAN DRIVING RECORD.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greets all customers entering the service area with a friendly, professional attitude, answering any questions and/or directing them to the appropriate person or location
- Answer initial questions from the customer
- Be the first and last impression of the dealership!
- Operate customer and dealership owned vehicles safely and with the utmost care
- Pick up and deliver stock units to and from service department
- Use the company Key Track Machine System
- Helps maintain a clean and safe service area by performing general cleaning duties (trash removal, sweeping, etc.)
- Not use cell phones on the drive
- Verifies customer appointments and all relevant customer information (name, VIN, tag number, mileage, etc.)
- Helps with loaner vehicles and parks vehicles after they have been written up
- Installs disposable protective coverings (seat covers, steering wheel covers, floor mats, etc.) and tags in all vehicles brought in for service
- Delivers keys and repair order to the appropriate Service Advisor after parking vehicle
- Retrieves vehicles for customers when picking up, waiting at the vehicle and thanking customers for their business
- Follows all safety and security procedures
- Performs other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Friendly and customer service focused!
- Prompt, reliable, and responsible
- Able to multi-task and work under pressure
- Able to walk and stand for long periods of time as well as work outside
- Able to drive both automatic and standard-transmission vehicles
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous experience preferred
- Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record
- Able to safely operate motor vehicles in tight and small spaces
- Neat, clean, and professional appearance
- Strong customer service skills
