Junior Property Accountant
Job Posting for Junior Property Accountant at Greenwood Star LLC
Greenwood Star is a fully-integrated Atlanta-based multifamily real estate investment and property management company seeking a Junior Property Accountant for its Atlanta - Buckhead office. The ideal candidate is a recent graduate in fields of Real Estate, Finance, Accounting, or related field. The Company offers competitive pay and benefits as well as opportunity for advancement. An interview will be scheduled if you meet the selection criteria.
Responsibilities:
- Apply generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) to analyze financial information
- Enforce PO policies with vendors and property managers
- Consolidate properties' operational and financial data from the system into Excel, prepare weekly and monthly reports, and follow up with property managers to complete tasks
- Assist the accountants in AR, AP, accounting, budget development and analysis, operational analysis, and bonus plan implementation
- Enter journal entries, and reconcile accounts
- Participate in property acquisition/disposition due diligence
- Other finance/operation related duties based on assignment
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Real Estate or related fields
- Strong Excel skills
- Demonstrated ability to read, write, and communicate effectively to prepare and explain financial data to board members, senior managers, staff, and internal and external auditors.
- Experience with Real Estate accounting is preferred
- Experience with Yardi is preferred

Salary: $50,000 to $55,000 annually, based on skills/experience
