This is a Fundraising Coordinator position with Grey Bell Group LLC, a "for-profit" business that has a contract with the Alabama Tactical Officers Association (ATOA) and the Georgia Tactical Officers Association (GTOA) to raise funds. The ATOA and GTOA are both domestic nonprofit 501(c)3 formed and operated for charitable purposes including networking and training for police, fire, and medical organizations. The responsibilities of this position would include general fundraising, grant writing, event development and organization, etc. At least two years of experience in the fundraising field is required. A High School diploma is required. The work schedule would be completely up to the potential candidate. This is a part-time position. A "pro-law enforcement" viewpoint would be mandatory. The candidate would need strong people skills for developing long-term relationships with donors and strong wordsmithing skills to utilize in grant writing applications. Experience in checkout charity development is preferred.
Some job duties include:
Promote ATOA or GTOA to prospective donors.
Prepare and complete fundraising plans that ensure compliance with company policy and state law.
Maintain positive contact with existing donors.
Develop creative strategies to attract potential donors.
Create and maintain dossiers on current donors.
Recruit and lead volunteers from the public with pro-law enforcement ideals to volunteer at fundraising events. Etc.
