What are the responsibilities and job description for the On-Line Learning Manager position at Greyhound?
To manage all aspects of Greyhound’s e-learning and virtual learning program. Role includes developing new curriculum and updating existing content; overseeing third-party provided content; scheduling and running virtual classrooms; managing vendor relationships; reporting; suggesting e-learning innovations; marketing the online learning options; assisting with content on Employee Portal and Greyhound United D&I platform and administering Greyhound University.
Key Responsibilities
- Create in-house Greyhound-centric e-learning courses as needed. Conduct needs analysis, develop goals and objectives, develop, and evaluate materials, according to standard instructional design techniques and within cost and time budgets
- Update existing in-house content as needed, including training videos. Work with specialty contractors as needed
- Oversee any third-party provided and housed e-learning. Work with vendor partners to troubleshoot technical issues. Assist users as needed. Keep rosters current
- Assist virtual training facilitators, including scheduling of webinars, preparation and loading of content, and producing the classes
- Manage vendor relationships, including SOW documents and current licensing agreements. Troubleshoot issues as needed
- Provide reports—both on a scheduled basis and on an as-needed basis—related to e-learning usage and learning results. Work with department management to determine relevant KPIs and show ROI from online learning investments
- Provide ideas and test innovations to enhance Greyhound’s online learning capabilities and positive bottom-line impact upon the business
- Maintain all administrative aspects of Greyhound University, including site enhancements, course publications, enrollment uploads, marketing, and reporting
- Consult as requested with Greyhound functions regarding their training needs, including viable online learning solutions for their businesses
- Help to create e-learning and communications content for Employee Portal and for Greyhound United website and ERG web pages
- Assist HR Training and Development with other tasks and projects as needed. Role potentially could provide online learning activities for parent FlixMobility
- Special projects and additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, particularly in General Business or Transportation
- Instructional Design education, training, or certification required
- 3 year’s experience
- Supervisory experience strongly preferred, especially strong hiring experience
- Experience with Skillsoft and Percipio platform highly desired
- Experience with Articulate and Captivate software strongly preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Teams strongly preferred
- Experience training adults preferred but not required
- Understanding of Adult Learning Theory and Instructional Design techniques required
- Ability to manage multiple projects in an efficient and cost-effective manner
- Ability to receive coaching and feedback productively
- Ability to communicate effectively in various media (e-mail, conference calls, on-site, etc.)
