Job Description
We are looking for a self-starter capable of delivering outstanding customer service experience. Our goal is to drive service success that improves customer satisfaction, maximizes customer retention, and increases profitability along with future project opportunities. This position will provide technical support to company customer facilities both regionally and nationally. Ability to travel as needed to service customers and train on new equipment/processes. The position will require a willingness to offer opinions, options, and direction and be flexible to the needs of the business. Must have a very high attention to detail. This position will be working with robotics, rack, electrical, pneumatic, and computer equipment, in work environments needing fast, accurate results.
Responsibilities
- Cooperate with the company technical team and share information across the organization Solid understanding of Ethernet communication and PLC functionality.
- Based in various areas of the US with additional requirements to travel to Customer sites across the US and possibly Canada and Mexico.
- Ensure that warehouse machinery functions correctly and efficiently to meet the company's demands.
- Educate the customer on the use and care of the product
- Perform Preventive Maintenance and provide customer support
- Troubleshoot all systems and determine root cause analysis and errors
- Maintain detailed reports/records on services performed
- Explain issues with equipment and repairs to the customer
- Build and maintain relationships with customers
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Post-high school technical training in two or more of the following areas: Pneumatics, hydraulics, robotics, electrical, or mechanical.
- Or
- Associate degree in electromechanical technology or a similar area.
- Minimum of 3 Years of focused, relevant experience in mechanical or technical areas where machinery, mechanical, electrical, or electronic maintenance work was performed by you.
Other skills:
- Experience with basic hand, power, and diagnostic tools
- Experience with computer use in the field and basic software
- Ability to install, repair, service, troubleshoot, and test equipment and some software issues
- Must be able to read blueprints and diagrams
- Ability to work flexible hours and around a changing schedule
- Ability to travel as needed to service customers and train on new equipment/processes.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently without much supervision
- Must be able to meet the physical requirements, including bending, lifting, and working in a confined space
- Must have a Drivers License and reliable transportation
- Ability to effectively manage time.
