What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Technician position at Greystone?
Nature of Work : Performs work installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting manufacturing machinery and electronic equipment using any combination of electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or computer technologies.
Essential Job Functions
- Sets up and maintains production/quality control equipment in accordance with current good manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures.
- Diagnoses issues and makes appropriate repairs/takes necessary steps to ensure machinery and equipment runs correctly with limited production down time.
- Calibrates or adjusts equipment to ensure quality production and testing capabilities using appropriate tools.
- Adheres to all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures for health, safety, and environmental compliance.
Collaborates with employees to ensure necessary information is collected and communicated to ensure limited production down time.
Job Requirements
- Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma, trade or technical school certification; bachelor’s or associate’s degree preferred; some related experience.
- Strong mechanical and technical skills; and, ability to quickly learn new programs, machinery, and equipment.
- Good verbal and written communication skills; and, the ability to read and interpret documentation such as safety rules, work process instructions, memos, etc.
- Ability to follow instruction, accept corrections, contribute ideas, and work well as part of a team.
