Data/Business Intelligence Analyst - MINIMUM SECRET CLEARANCE
GridironIT is seeking a Metrics & Reporting SME/Advisor to the Army’s Enterprise Cloud Modernization Agency (ECMA). The Metrics & Reporting SME shall provide senior level metrics reporting and planning expertise to the government customer, up to and including the SES level. This position requires metric and key performance indicator (KPI) identification, planning, analysis, direction, and reporting. The primary focus for this position is on identification, justification, strategic planning, data source analysis, data gap analysis, and reporting across the ECMO and the Army.
Typically, the Performance Metrics role handles the following responsibilities (and others not listed):
- Conducts PowerBI coding to make dashboards that display information, analysis, and code.
- Identifies value-focused metrics and KPIs at the team, division, directorate, and enterprise levels; looks across business, technical, and acquisition operations to identify opportunities to create and report metrics/KPIs
- Represents ECMA’s user experience and organizational change management lines of effort
- Captures performance baselines and measures changes in performance resulting from newly introduced modernization initiatives
- Identifies and defines appropriate measures of performance, effectiveness, leading/lagging indicators, and general almanac data capture along with the calculations, interpretations, and analysis of results to support the design, development, and deployment of analytics use cases
- Develops and defines the approach and guides the design of analytics models, use cases, and associated data needs with one of the core enterprise analytics engines
- Develops analytics products & dashboards using Vantage, ServiceNow, Power BI, etc.
- Performs data mining, cleansing, and manipulation; identifies necessary data elements and their sources
- Leverages appropriate tools to acquire and consolidate large volumes of data from different sources
- Works with Business, Data Science, and Business Technology teams to ensure that all models are effectively scaled
- Develops and builds metrics and tracking to ensure value is captured from analytical models being developed and deployed
- Uses business value drivers and understands the corresponding business impact
- Uses a structured and logical framework encompassed of problem statement definition, data analysis, insights and recommendations, to problem-solve
- Collaborates in a work environment enabling a cross-functional team with various backgrounds and capabilities to execute at a high-level
Requirements
The successful candidate will meet or exceed each of the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in an analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Mathematics, Business Intelligence, Data Science)
- Minimum of 5 years in a corporate setting or professional services company, conducting an analytical or strategic role (e.g, Strategy or Finance)
- Experience using digital technologies, data elements & sources, and related tools (e.g., Vantage, ServiceNow, Power BI)
- Experience developing IT services using industry best practice methodologies (i.e., ITIL, COBIT)
- Experience utilizing Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, SAFe, Lean, DAD) and related tools (i.e., Jira)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Army, DoD, or IC at the Headquarters, Department of the Army, or major command level (e.g., ARCYBER, NETCOM, 7th Signal Command, Program Executive Office), and/or industry implementing similar solutions
- Hands on experience coding dashboards for metrics
- Experience using PowerBI coding to display information, analysis, and code
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills; comfort interfacing with both technical and management teams
Preference will go to candidates who also possess the following items:
- Master’s degree in a related field (e.g., MBA, Engineering, Mathematics, Business Intelligence, Economics)
- Experience developing metrics and KPIs with Cloud
- Project Management experience
- Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or DoD Project/Program Management (DAWIA Level 3) certification

Pay: $110,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
