General Job Description:

The Junior QA Analyst will, under the direction of the Senior Lead QA Analyst, perform testing and execute test scripts on a .NET web application, check report accuracy against pre-generated database output, evaluate user interface (UI) design and user experience (UX), write product documentation, and report findings to the Senior Lead QA and/or developers/company management as directed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Validate and verify bug reports, adding replication steps where necessary.
  • Execute detailed test plans, regression tests, and test schedules.
  • Communicate effectively with the QA Lead and Developers to ensure identified deficiencies are corrected/addressed.
  • Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills to identify and report additional issues related to the system(s) you are testing.
  • Perform test data entry and data analysis as required to ensure system effectiveness.
  • Perform other Quality Assurance Duties as required.
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Understanding Software Quality Assurance methodologies, concepts, process including waterfall, Kanban, and agile development methodologies
  • Hands on experience executing Test Strategies and supporting Test Cases with commercial QA tools
  • Knowledge of web technologies, cloud computing and mobile technologies
  • Can document logical data and process modeling and translate user needs into business and functional requirements along with use cases
  • Ability to read business processes in transportation/fleet-based delivery industries
  • Ability to design basic testing strategies based on business processes
  • High level of initiative and ability to work in a team environment, including handling competing priorities while meeting tight deadlines
  • Excellent people and communication skills – able to effectively provide feedback and drive issue resolution and root cause analysis.
  • Proficient in industry standard Quality Assurance tool suite
  • Plans and carries out responsibilities with minimal direction and works well under pressure
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science or related field or equivalent job-related experience.
  • 1 year Software Quality Assurance experience
  • Ticketing system experience

Employment is contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory Background check, Drug test, Reference check and Execution of an employment/noncompete/confidentiality agreement.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
