THE COMPANY
Established in 2014, Albuquerque based Gridworks is a leading EPC contractor for utility-scale solar and battery storage projects throughout the Western US. The company is solidly positioned for continued success in the rapid growth of clean energy.
THE OPPORTUNITY
As a Safety Coordinator, you will implement our safety programs and standards with our construction teams. You will work collaboratively with Project Managers, Superintendents, and Subcontractor personnel on assigned projects. This is an on-site position, primarily in New Mexico, with a potential for locations in other Western states. You will report directly to our Safety Director.
THE ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Collaborate with Project Managers and Superintendents to implement site specific safety plans
- Review subcontractor safety plans and ensure compliance with project standards
- Coordinate and/or conduct training sessions required for project teams: OSHA 10-30, CPR, equipment and tool, fall protection etc.
- Produce reporting on observations from audits, walk throughs and after near misses, incidents, or accidents.
- Monitor the medical treatment and status of injured employees until they are fully released and/or the claims are closed
- Maintain site-specific material safety data sheet catalogs and notify affected parties of updates
- Ensure that all site mangers are familiar with protocols for reporting near misses, accidents, injuries, and incidents on their project
- Monitor use, maintenance, and availability of personal protective equipment throughout all sites
- Monitor and maintain record of safety certifications for on-site personnel
YOUR BACKGROUND
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction safety, preferably in industrial or energy settings
- Experience in implementing HS&E Plans
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with ability to influence at all levels
- Ability to think innovatively, offering creative solutions aligning HS&E operational priorities

Pay: $27.00 - $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 50 – 60 per week
