Job brief
We are looking for a reliable Construction Estimator to bid and budget commercial projects. Preconstruction services will also be part of this role including putting together RFPs and tracking future projects. We have work all over Oregon, mostly Public Projects.
Responsibilities
Oversee and direct preconstruction projects from conception to completion
Organization and processing of: Complete CSI estimates from concept to 100% construction documents.
Review the project in-depth to estimate costs
Meet contractual conditions of performance during preconstruction
Preconstruction meetings
Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status
Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones
Analyze, manage, and mitigate risks
Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques during design development
Manage / Assist in bidding projects

Requirements
Minimum 5 years’ experience estimating commercial construction projects
Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field
Proven working experience in commercial construction
Advanced knowledge of estimating, means and methods
Competent with Value Engineering practices
Self-perform estimating practices
Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards
Understanding of all facets of the construction process
Expert with construction management and estimating software packages
Ability to plan and see the “big picture”
Competent in conflict and crisis management
Leadership skills
Excellent time and project management skills
Expert Ability to read and understand drawings and specs
