ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Continuous use of both hands; including grasping, pulling and pushing. Sight, hearing, lifting, standing, climbing stairways, walking and balancing both feet on even and uneven surfaces, bending, twisting, crawling, stooping, kneeling, reaching forward, reaching overhead, reaching below shoulder, wrist turning, neck turning. Must be able to work in cold temperatures.
PURPOSE:
To assist Processing Supervisor with daily operations. Maintain a safe and efficient operation of all employees and equipment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Make operational adjustments to ensure proper quality standards are met.- Operate equipment to their full capacity and trouble shoot operational problems with all equipment.
- Assist the supervisor to ensure proper safety training, including JOB SPECIFICS is performed on a regular basis.
- Ensure all training is ducumented properly.
- Preform a pre-start inspection.
- Notify the Production or Maintenance Supervisor of any mechanical or electrical problems before starting the shift.
- Take daily product inventory and report raw material needs.
- Ensure all equipment and personnel are operating safely.
- Oversee the operations in the Supervisor’s absence.
- May be asked to rotate to a different area of the plant (same position and shift) based on business need.
- Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Ability to continuously work with product and equipment at ground level. Ability to operate a computer and other office productivity equipment. Ability to operate hand tools. Ability to move in food processing facilities (sometimes through narrow passages, in wet areas, or on elevated platforms). Ability to inspect equipment and product. Must be able to work in different temperatures (working temperatures as hot as 100° to 105° F and as cold as 32° F to 45° F). Must be able to work in a high noise area. Must be able to move items weighing up to 40 lbs.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have previous management experience.- Have knowledge of raw materials.
- Must have knowledge of HACCP and IIPP programs.
- Must have knowledge of sanitizing procedures.
- Must be able to monitor product flow.
- Must have the ability to work with people and have strong communication skills.
- Must have the ability to train and direct all subordinates.
- Must maintain a safe work environment for all employees.
- Must have ability to process daily reports and log discrepancies.
- Must be Bi-lingual (English /Spanish).
- May be required to work overtime or Saturdays depending on business need.
- Must pass drug and alcohol exams.
