Maintain active membership in an EVS/Linen professional membership, such as the Association for the Healthcare Environment (AHE).
Essential Functions:
Create, implement, manage, and audit linen par levels at all locations linens are supplied.
Ensure clean and dirty laundry and linens are properly stored, staged, delivered, dropped off and neatly prepared for all patient care usage.
Coordinate continuously with the laundry/linens service vendor to ensure response times are met and quality of service is provided.
Collect departmental data and provide inventory count reports for laundry/linens continuously to Accounts Payable and the EVS & Linen Director.
Establish continuous communication and coordination between all building supervisors to ensure inventory counts remain accurate, and laundry and linens are properly delivered, staged, stored and picked up timely.
Ensure the laundry and linens in-house cleaning and folding services are performed efficiently, to meet operational, Infection Prevention, and Join Commission requirements.
Non-Essential Functions:
Manage Reject Linen Program with Linen Vendor to ensure quality of linens in all service areas.
Hold monthly quality control meetings with Linen Vendor to address and follow up on any linen related quality deficiencies.
Perform duties as assigned by director.

Inpatient/Outpatient: Neonatal, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric.
Physical Demands
Lifting: Occasional Lift - Maximum of 50 lbs. knee to shoulder height, Frequent Lift - 5lbs. From floor to waist height,. Items Lifted – Linens, Laundry Bags, Liquid containers, trash bags.
Push/Pull: Carts and bins that have the potential to weigh up to 500 lbs. Moderate force required to push full laundry bins, minimal force for cleaning supplies vacuums and mops.
Carry: 5 lb. containers multiple times per day.
Dexterity: High degree required to clean in small areas.
Climbing: May use ladder / stool.
Standing: May stand and walk up to 7.5 hours a day.
Kneeling / Stooping: Frequently throughout day.
Driving: Seldom, but, may be required.
Environmental Conditions
Inside with occasional outside work. Frequent exposure to wet conditions with water, disinfecting and mopping solutions. Frequent exposure of toxic or caustic chemicals in dealing with cleaning supplies. Occasional exposure to biomedical waste with lab boxes and sharps containers, and suction canisters
