Position Overview:
The Accounts Payable Clerk is accountable for the accounting operations of the company, to include the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards. Assisting in posting deals, a finance liaison such as verifying checklists, funding, products, etc.
Pay range is based on experience and qualifications: $18.00 - $22.00 Per Hour
Who You Are:
- You have a minimum of 2 years experience in an administrative/operations position in a billing or accounting department
- You have excellent time management skills and your organizational skills drive efficiency while meeting deadlines
- You are a team player and can work independently when required
- You are a strong communicator and can monitor communication channels to ensure the highest levels of effectiveness and efficiency
- You have the proven ability to be efficient and compliant operational and accounting and billing processes
- You have effective critical thinking skills & exercise sound judgment in a fast-paced environment
- You perform consistently the duties and responsibilities assigned to the standards and goals established
- You have resourceful with strong problem-solving skills and making decisions is easy for you
Essential Responsibilities:
- Ensure all vehicle retail sales are processed within recognized company standards.
- Posting daily funding from banks and making adjusting entries as needed.
- Maintaining/reconciling schedules for aftermarket vendors. Submit payments and make accounting entries.
- Make certain all vehicle retail sales have appropriate documentation following company revenue recognition policies using the deal checklist.
- Ensure that funding from lenders occurs promptly.
Qualifications/ Education/Practical Experience Required:
- A College Degree or extensive and proven work in an Accounting role.
- A minimum of 2 years experience in a position in billing or accounting.
- Automotive accounting, warranty provider, or dealership experience is preferred.
- Advanced skills in key Microsoft Office programs, specifically Excel.
- Proficient in current accounting software.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Able to pass pre-employment background check and drug screen for illegal substances
